What is Canadian cuisine?
Canadian cuisine practically defies definition. Canada is such a big place, and one that’s home to many diverse cultures. You can argue that our Canada includes Chickpea Curry as much as it does a spicy Ginger Noodle Soup (and you’d be right on both counts) but today we’re taking a traditional angle and looking to our foodie past.
Many of our earliest recipes were developed out of sheer necessity in order to use up foods before they turned (consider apple cider and croutons for example), but many others simply celebrated the great regional flavours of our country. And there are many!
